Course Description
This course aims to provide health professionals with an introduction to stoma care and the issues surrounding it. Information is provided on anatomy and physiology, different types of stoma, roles within stoma care, communication issues and an introduction to the practical management of a stoma. This will enable them to demonstrate increased knowledge and understanding and increase the client’s confidence in the staff managing their care.
