Course Description
This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation, and review of individualised service planning and delivery. Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.
RPL & Credit Transfer:
You may already have a high level of skills, knowledge, or expertise in this industry this is identified as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Do you hold any other Certificates in the same industry? You can apply for Credit Transfer. Seeking either RPL or credit transfer apply on your enrollment form.

Work Placement
To gain this qualification successful, part of the assessment methods, you will need to complete 120 hours of work placement in an Aged Care or Community Services with access to disability clients. You will be required to identify employers in your local area and complete a work placement referral form, then the RTO will assist you with placement.
Assessments
To be assessed as competent, learners need to provide satisfactory evidence to all the assessment requirements relating to their knowledge and skills relevant to the unit of competence.
